SpaceXAI Rebrands To SpaceXSI. What It Costs You.
Jalopnik covers the rebrand. I cover what it costs the car owner.

Jalopnik reports Elon Musk is officially rebranding SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI. The "S" stands for super, the "I" for intelligence.
This follows President Donald Trump's push against the term artificial intelligence. He told the UN it sounded fake. The State Department ordered diplomats to use "super intelligence" instead. Tech leaders, including Musk, signed a non-binding pledge. The White House created a task force.
As Jalopnik notes, the name change appears to be a quick response to a user on X named X Freeze. Musk said, "Yes, we will make that change." But the official SpaceXAI handle and URL have not switched yet. Reuters confirmed Musk has not said when the change happens.
Here is what jumps out at me from a decade of watching car deals: the name is a headline. The substance is the bill. Jalopnik raises the real costs. Data centers for this industry could emit as much CO2 as 24 million cars. They need chips badly enough to cause a shortage. The bills land on everyone filling up a tank or buying groceries.
Musk is not offering a plan to lower those costs. He is offering a new label. That is a tactic I have seen on every used car lot.
