BMW iX4 leaks ahead of this week's reveal

Electrek reports the electric coupe-SUV will arrive by end of 2026, with two all-wheel-drive versions.

BMW's new iX4 has leaked online, days before the company is expected to show it this Thursday, Electrek reports.

The iX4 is an electric coupe-SUV that will replace the current X4. It uses BMW's Neue Klasse design and sixth-generation eDrive technology, with a 108.7-kilowatt-hour battery.

Two versions are planned: the 40 xDrive and the 50 xDrive. Both have all-wheel drive but differ in performance and range. BMW has not yet published range figures for the iX4, but the related iX3 50 xDrive is rated at up to 434 miles on the EPA cycle in the United States.

Spy shots posted by CocheSpias and credited to @Kero_Wolf show a rakish roofline that gives the iX4 more of a grand-tourer shape than the boxier iX3. Inside, the dashboard features a 17.9-inch central touchscreen, a redesigned steering wheel, and BMW's Panoramic Vision 3D head-up display that stretches across the windshield.

Pricing has not been announced, but the iX4 is expected to cost a bit more than the iX3. The 2027 iX3 50 xDrive starts at $61,500 in the U.S. and about €73,925 in Europe.

BMW says the iX4 will go on sale by the end of 2026. The full reveal is reportedly set for later this week.
