Colin Shaw

Colin Shaw writes opinion and new-model coverage for Cars. He grew up in suburban Detroit and spent eight years as a product planner at a Detroit automaker, working on trim and option packaging for midsize SUVs and pickups, before joining in 2026. He has a BS in industrial engineering from Purdue University (2011) and lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His garage holds an NB Mazda Miata, a 2019 Honda Odyssey and, when it runs, a 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
